Nöel Verset dead at 95

Recent vintages were priced too high for my budget and I drank my last bottle of my own stock a few years ago now. Still, the memories will live on. Beware of any 2015 Verset Cornas you see on the market, however.

So many of my most memorable wine experiences were bottles of Verset Cornas shared with good friends.

I had the fortune (perhaps misfortune as well) to try a bottle of Verset's 2006 Cornas last month, and I'm only sorry I wasn't drinking wine when he was active... now that I know what I'm missing.

Always a shame to lose, from what I could gather from one bottle, a vigneron of his talent.
