In all fairness Brad, I don't remember anyone coming out publicly to check Dressner when he got mean and hostile, including the pre-cancer years when he had fewer excuses. Maybe it happened offline, but I can't remember it online.

Surely you're not suggesting that because bad behavior went unchecked in the past, it shouldn't be now? Is that what you find unfair?

If Dressner wanted to get mean and hostile here and on Therapy, as he often was, that was his prerogative as this was his board. That said, on a number of occasions I spoke to him privately when I felt he crossed a line, both here and at jeebs. Feel free to ask around about a particular jeeb at Jay Miller's some years back now. I also spoke to Dougherty about his posts toward Peter and this is not the first time I've called out people publicly for their posts toward Peter. This behavior needs to stop. Period.

This has gotten out of hand. Pete seems well able to handle himself. I was getting on the bored for puerile and repetitious behavior. Although I think these things lower the tone of the bored (perhaps almost as much as Miss Grundy grammatical coup counting), I also think they are misdemeanors not meriting the high moral dudgeon that has followed. And I do seem to remember Dressner getting checked at times.

I'm in the Oregon Wine Country and have been out of the loop. Not sure if being late to the thread is good or bad! Posting with my BlackBerry.

The treatment discussed in this thread has always been surprising. For me to say more about it just doesn't quite feel right except to say it is often a hoot.

As for Oregon, the Anne Amie Boisseau Pinot Noir and the Alexana West Blocks Sedimentary Soils Pinot Noir '13 are both quite impressive (and expressive).

So true, Rahasaan.
Pre or post cancer. Joe didn't need any excuse.
Shapeless good intentions and lack of courage are all over the place and the word doesn't seem to be a much better place, tough

Keith,

All of our Oregon events have been with producers we know; thus, the vintages poured for us have been in a wide range.

They seem to be pouring '11 - '14 primarily.

The 3 Pinot Noirs I have liked the best are the Anne Amie Boisseau, Le Cadeau Merci Reserve, '13, and Antica Terra Botanica '13. 2013 was a difficult year but I have liked several of the Pinots from this vintage.

. . . . Pete
