Really intense, one shooting was just meters from Septime and another a couple blocks from Verre Vole. Not taking this terrible thing back to food and wine, just really brings it home.

Actually, not enough sincere, heartfelt ones. This is not a "prayerful" act. More like nihlism.
 
The security at the Stade de France detected the three suicide bombers trying to get into the venue, and chased them outside, where they blew themselves up, killing one bystander, according to reports. The carnage if they'd managed to get inside is hard to imagine. I'll never complain about "security theater" again.

I remember Le Monde on September 12th, 2001: "Nous sommes tous Americains."

I was in Istanbul a few years ago and met a very nice man from Syria. We drank coffee and he sold me a scarf. He hadn't heard from his family there in months. He said this is nothing to do with religion, all about power and hate and control. He said it is "politics as usual".

These killing, hateful, misogynistic bastards are cowards. I do not view them as true Muslims.

I will drink tonight to my friends and all of France.
