2013 Enderle & Moll Burgunder

Part Weiss and Grau Burgunder, not sure of the ratio. Fantastic wine! Slightly orange suggesting skin contact. Amazingly savory, fresh, delicious and simply one of those wines that is so good it disappears too quickly. For me this is the perfect skin contact wine because it is savory but also fresh. I continue to love Weissburgunder and Grauburgunder from Germany and also happy to finally see more low-intervention/natural wines coming out of Germany. I highly recommend the Pinots from Enderle & Moll as
well. I met Sven one of the winemakers at a party at Immich-Batterieberg and he is a very cool guy.

As a side note I had this at Lowlife a new restaurant in Lower East Side from the former Chef de Cuisine at Blanca, Alex Leonard and Hugh Crickmore from MAS Farmhouse. The food was excellent and the wine list very thoughtful with numerous choices. I will be going back soon and often. The restaurant scene in NYC has never been better.

Finally we headed to the Erykah Badu show at the new renovated Kings Theater WAY out in Brooklyn on Flatbush. The Theater renovation is stunning and it is nice to see them hosting big name artists. The sound was a little off but Erykah's voice and charisma more than made up for. She grabbed my phone and tried to take a selfie on-stage and DAMN the photo did not take!!!

Thanks for the report on Lowlife. I'm looking forward to checking it out. Dhrubo Mazumdar is doing the wine there; good palate on that fellow.

Good to hear, Robert. For another report on Sven, see this thread

Went to Lowlife tonight. I can confirm the reports of good food and wine. The pace was a bit slow, but I assume they are still working the kinks out and coming in for a late dinner on their third Saturday isn't a fair way to judge. Prices are surprisingly reasonable, but you might sit next to some millennials on a nauseating tinder date. They serve der weiss und grau burgunder by das Glas and it does well with the food. Do not miss the trout roe.

They told me Robert was in twice this week.

Kings Theatre is great! But it's not THAT way out on Flatbush. The majority of Flatbush lies beyond the theatre. It's an amazing avenue, the Broadway of Brooklyn.
