My buddy Evan hooked me up with this amazing book of maps detailing the territory and vineyards of Barolo. I wish I could tell you the story of how he discovered and ordered it but I was hardly paying attention myself as I was engrossed in the maps as soon as he handed it over. If you're into Barolo this is a must have.

I'm sure most of you have seen a Burgundy vineyard map by Sylvain Pitiot & Pierre Poupon. Theirs are the most detailed and comprehensive maps I've come across and you can take them anywhere on your iphone. Here's a zoomed in screen shot of Gevrey-Chambertin. The app is called Atlas Vins.

These are the Masnaghetti maps. Been around for years already. And, indeed, just fascinating.
