Eastbound

Two character driven wines.
The Idlewild has more grip than exacted but works so well with Mac and cheese as to be perfect.
The Cruse is the Syrah from Heintz Vineyard out on the coast and has developed nicely over the past year - it too was dandy with dinner.
Our last visit to the Fig Cafe for this year as we head east on Wednesday. A little comfort food and a couple of nice bottles with friends. Finest kind.
