These wines are awesome. Why have I been stuck on sec and demi-sec and not been drinking these more often?

Probably because I rarely find a reason to open them.

But, I decided this holiday season was as good a reason as any.

The 2002 was especially remarkable for its extra years of development and comfort in the mouth. But, the overarching similarity of combining rich succulence, pristine elegance and energetic freshness was my main takeaway.

Glorious.
 
Nice. I think that was one of the few other vintages that I've owned and drunk at home. But didn't enjoy it as much around age 10-12 as I did these two wines.
