Sottobosco and truffles cheese and crackers, then an intermezzo with American caviar, then sauteed foie gras with onions, pears, and orange slices served over leaf greens/avocado, then baklava.
Oh yeah! The wine! Truly incredible showing of the Chateau de Beaucastel Chateauneuf de Pape '90. It made me wonder about my long term (by a gnat's eyelash) preference of the '89 vintage of this wine. The '90 could not be better now but will surely outlive me in extraordinary style.
