Impressive list. I guess I'm not surprised the dinner sold out. However, $330 + tax + the requirement to bring wine seemed a bit rich.

I know what you are saying it is a lot of money but the growers do bring some amazing wines that are not technically included in the price. Last year I probably drank $330 worth of Egon Muller alone! Not too mention what the other participants bring.

$29 for the tasting is a good deal.

Wow. It probably says a lot about me that I'd be most excited to try the wines of Jochen Beurer, but I wouldn't be too unhappy to sidle up to the Lauer, Rebholz or indeed most any of the others, too.

Is Lars Carlberg actually connected to Hofgut Falkenstein, or there as an importer?

Mark - Lars has been working for them over the last few years as their for lack of a better term sales agent. Starting this year he is also working on the production side and doing a two year apprenticeship to learn winemaking. MFW is the importer.

Also I think you would also really like the Immich, Weiser-Künstler and Steinmetz wines based on the ones you have highlighted above.

I'll be at the 11:00 tasting if anyone else is planning to be there.

I'm skipping the dinner this year in favor of meeting a few people for a smaller dinner.

Would anyone like to report on the event?

As always, too much wine and no notes. I hope (expect) others will be more helpful.

My favorite dry wines were 2004 Rebholz Kastanienbusch, 2004 Koehler Ruprecht Saumagen Auslese trocken R (2008 almost as good) and 1997 Nikolaihof Vinothek.

My favorite wine at Rieslingfeier 2026 will be Beurer Grosses Gewaechs 2014.

The Beurer wines are wonderful and Joachim is an extremely nice guy, so happy to buy and drink his wines. (Cory if you are reading PLEASE bring in the Sauvignon Blanc!)

Immich poured 13s and they stood out in a positive way over the many 14s at the tasting. Gernot is also an amazingly nice person.

Koehler-Ruprecht really impressed me and I intend to seek out more of their wines.

Steinmetz blew me away - I ordered more than two cases after the tasting as I don't have many of his wines.

I was curious to taste the 2011 Loosen GG Reserve and based on one taste I was not impressed.

The Maximin Grünhaus Sekt was a cool wine.

Liked the Leitz wines more than I would have thought and need to buy a few and drink them.

Did not spend much time with Egon, Lauer, Falkenstein, Weiser-Künstler and JJ Prüm because I know the wines well and buy them regularly.

I would have liked to try the Robert Weil and Diel wines but missed them.
