Magical Food & Wine Pairing

Today at lunch to celebrate a 76 we had 76 Schloss Eltz Auslese and 76 Egon Muller Auslese paired with three different Roberta's Pizzas! Two of the pizzas had an element of hot spice. WOW! What a magical pairing. I was sitting next to Konstantin Weiser from Weiser-Kunstler and he was also blown away. We joked that we could solve the Riesling marketing challenge if everyone in the U.S. could try this pairing!

What does it mean to celebrate a 76, Robert? Sounds like a fantastic experience, though.

Cornfuzzledly yours,
Mark Lipton

I'm not shocked. Riesling and takeout from Pepe's pizza (no Roberta's in CT, but the alternative is still awesome) are a pretty great combination on weekends when I don't want to cook.

The other pizza accompaniment I love these days is Cab Franc. 10 Breton FDP was absolutely killer with a sausage/onion/red pepper pizza recently.

That sounds very good.

'10 Carema White label with Franny's sausage pizza (and with the onion & olive one too) was certainly happy making on a very cold evening last night. (No '76s --humans or wines -- but still nice.)
