Domaine du Colette, 2012, VV, VM. Every once and a while I open a bottle and just think, pow! This is one. They come along fewer and fewer it seems.

Just the right combo of gamay fruit and minerals, with the terrific smoke over and underlay that just keeps me chugging. No weird naturelle brett/VA stuff, which I'm totally over.

I haven't tried their wines before, but having stayed a couple of weeks in Regnie know it is a seriously underestimated appellation.
 
This actually diminished with air. By the time the Mme got home, she wondered what the big deal was.
