2010 Pepiere chat. Thebaud Clos des Morines was a hit last Saturday at my family's 2d night Seder. Good match for gefilte fish and for matzo ball soup. ( and no, George, they don't eat any other part of the matzo. ) such a nice balance of mineral cut with fruit to keep it from being scary for the young (or super old) folk. A bottle left open in the fridge for about 3 days was maybe even better.

2014 W. Schaefer w. Himmelreich spat tonight is very nice too. Crystalline with acidity out pacing the fruit, at the moment. A bit more shrill than I would have expected, but it may just be a phase. Or my taste tonight.

I generally love the acidity of the 2014 German wines, but there are instances when it is too prominent. "Crystalline" could be great, but not "shrill".
