Hello
Last sunday with our berliner Rahsaan M., we made a dinner with languedoc & provence 2009-2014 (Trevallon & Maxime Magnon). See our new website available on every devices (desktop, tablet or smartphone) :

Ask any questions on the forum and I will try to answer.

Aside from mangling the spelling of my name, the reception at the TGJP was as gracious and hospitable as ever. And the food was as remarkable as ever. (I was especially pleased about the octopus, which I rarely have the chance to eat)

It was also nice to learn more about why Richard Leroy is The Best Thing Ever, although I haven't drunk enough yet to fully understand.

The Trévallon was impressive in its own way, but the spunky energy of the Magnon Campagnès was more fun on this evening.

The 2009 La Bégou was also a revelation, as I don't drink many southern white wines.

i bought several cases of Richard Leroy2006-2009. Loved the wines young. But they basically have fallen apart. i won't us the "P" word but every bottle over the last say 2 years has been shot.very disappointing. maybe they are meant to be drunk young however, i really thought they would age nicely. (all well stored and purchased on release more or less)

Including the 2009 Rouliers?

Pierre-Alain has more insight than I do, but the 2009 Rouliers we had on Sunday was miles and kilometers from falling apart.

In Paris, with cases bought directly at the estate, 2006, 2008 and 2009 are in prime time. But it's time to drink. The best windows is 2 years after bottling and you can keep for 6-8 years. Why cellaring a long time this bottles ?
