On the other hand, that's not a bad spread from the NV to the top-dog version. Did you get to taste any back vintages? I'm curious how 1999 was doing? I remember heeding the call of a certain doghead.

Ouch, that hurts. They were expensive when they were briefly available in the US a couple of years ago, but nothing that severe.
I remember thinking they all needed more aging. Also, the labels of the various cuvees were indistinguishable without a field guide, which was frustrating to the trade.
