Trenel Chiroubles 2014: Fresh, cool style, sligthly smoky, raspberries. Tremendously fun and refreshing in a lighter style. Firm and refreshing fruit, some stony bitterness in the finish.
Julien Sunier Fleurie 2014: Nearly rosé in style, but more redfruited. Delicate and light nose, aromatic and juicy, but dry. More complex than the Trenel Chiroubles.
Julien Sunier Regnié 2014: Plums and cherries, quite sweet and sour, elegant, lighter body than aromatics, sexy. Quite soft and juicy.
Ch Thivin Sept Vignes Cotes de Brouilly 2014: Firm juicyness, some raspberries, quite concentrated with a nice core of firm fruit. Some bitter cherries. Supple.
Foillard Morgon Corcelette 2014: Quite focused, some cherries, slightly stony and quite complex. Good mouthfeel and quite seductive. Fine length, some ageing will make it develop.
Lapalu Brouilly Croix de Rameau 2014: Firm and full. Sweet and sour with some spices and slightly floral with cherries and minerality. Very fine.
Trenel Saint-Amour 2014: Fine color, quite dark, black cherries and some sweetness. Firm, fruity core, will be better in one year.
Antoine Sunier Morgon 2014: Powerful but still elegant, full style, but there’s a powerful core underneath. With food now, 2-3 years will make it blossom. Still tight.
Foillard Morgon Cotes de Py 2014: Quite dark color, supple and rich juicyness with spices and minerals. Firm concentration and fine, focused length. Excellent balance. With food now, better in 5 years (if I can lay off my bottles, the prognosis doesn’t look good).
Lapierre Morgon 2014. Still tight, minerally with wonderful sexy fruit. Superb balance.
