We all need a break. We lay out the usual good food and pull some corks.

Barthod 1998 Chambolle-Musigny 1er "Aux Beaux Bruns" - Unlike the last time, this one is open for business... in a muscular style. Not a "haunting" Burgundy, it more wraps its arm around yours and goes for a pleasant and brisk walk.

G. D. Vajra 1994? Langhe Riesling - DOC wine! Not a replacement for German riesling but made in a smooth, suave style reminiscent of arneis. Liked this.

Ch. La Louviere 1990 Graves - Smells very cab franc to me; I guessed Grezeaux.

Jules Desjourneys 2011 Moulin-A-Vent - Typique.

F. Pinon 2014 Vouvray "Les Deronnieres" - Still gorgeous. Typical Vouvray apricots but a little firmer and green-grapey. Yum.

Ch. Grand-Puy-Lacoste 1998 Pauillac - ?

A picture!

I apparently liked several of these wines much more than you. Notably the 1998 Barthod started out a bit muscular but developed beautifully with air and the 1990 Louviere which I loved.

The 1998 GPL was a beautiful joyous wine.

I agree with you on the Pinon. The Vajra was quite good
