Wait, Kay's doling out points and it's not 4/1?

Brad,

It's important to include a score of 92 or more points for all wines posted so that anyone else who drinks and enjoys the same wine will not have their feelings hurt and also to emphasize the fact that I only drink and cellar 92+ point wines.

I really find it hard to believe you were not already aware of this.

May I infer from what you're saying, Kay, that I should drink the Bosconia or the Barton since the extra point compared to the others will be oh-so tasty?

All else equal, I do prefer to drink and cellar more points. More points is better, 92 being the minimum, as you oh-so correctly point out.

The Bosconia should be about 1/46-th better, and therefore warrant a 50-100% increase in price.

Ahem.

Back atcha. How come you never come over? NC's not that far away. When you're there.

Anyway, who among us has tasted through much 40-year-old Beaujolais?

Oldest I've had was a ''74 Fleurie opened for us by the vigneron in his cave in'01, so only 27years old at that point. That was where we first encountered the reality of Gamay becoming Pinot-like with age.

More to the point: Who owns any old Beaujolais to bring to the proposed event?

Or we could use the booming secondary market to procure bottles. Wouldn't be surprised if Chambers begins selling some, as they bring in so much older stuff now anyway.

I'm briefly emerging from my Game of Thrones marathon to say I enjoyed this thread tremendously and I wish to thank all involved. Kudos!
