We went to our local restaurant and enjoyed each other's company.
Brought a '99 Juge, Cornas, SC, which was in full stride and our own 2015 Jack's Rose, which was like wise.
We talked about how Nathan (yeah, really) had a baby, why we have managed to stay together for over 35 years, and what this harvest was doing, and what we planned to do next.
On the way home we sang John Prine songs and when we got home we laughed about some silly family stuff that seems to keep our orbits in motion.
We did not speak of politics even once nor did we allow it to insult our night together.

I also had no plans to watch, because I've been tired of this campaign since September 2015. But it was actually fairly entertaining. Not sure that's a good thing. But it is what it is.
