Ira suggests that they drank champagne while the Titanic went down.
Pol Roger 2002 Champagne Brut - almost but not quite entirely OTH, dark gold, too much apple juice flavor
Chartogne-Taillet NV Champagne Extra Brut "Les Barres" - a pinot meunier cuvee; much nicer, fine bead, good acidity, gentle palate, definite meunier waxy/musty thing, I can be happy drinking this
Pascal Doquet 2002 Champagne Brut GC Blanc de Blancs - best of them all, cool-climate chardonnay (so full without pineapple-ness), moderately yeasty, yum
Pieri Agostina 2004 Brunello di Montalcino - nice, mid-weight sangiovese, currants and a little mushroom, a finesse player rather than a bruiser, a little closed yet (and I am not patient today so it doesn't get the time it probably needs)
