You should see it. Fun film that really shows New York of that era, the city, Coney Island, Yankee Stadium and even Kent Avenue in Brooklyn, which I always used to avoid traffic when I used to have a sales territory in Brooklyn. In fact, Kent Avenue looked a lot like it did in the movie until the past 12-15 years, or so. Babe Ruth even appears in the film.
 
In a roundabout way, that reminds me of the name I'll use if ever I open a gastropub: The Plastron and Carapace.
