What reasonably priced white and red wine(s) do you like there?

I would simply ask Lorella, the owner along with her husband Max. she knows the wine list perfectly. and Max used to sell wines wholesale.

Actually, the Vermentino caught my (un-Sardinia educated) attention as well.

Any others, perhaps especially reds?

How hard is it to get in to La Ciccia on a December Sunday evening at, say, 6:30 - 7:00?

And the proprietors know their cellar so just let them know what you like and don't like, give them a price and put yourself in their hands.
And don't miss the spicey octopus stew - I have dreams about that dish.

Last time I was there, years ago, with amongst others our very own Steve, Massimiliano recommended an '05 Gostolai Nepenthe di Oliena Riserva Cannonau. Almost everything about it (15%, etc...) might tell you that it would not be a wine I would enjoy, but it was absolutely lovely. Voluptuous, but proper. Ravishingly delicious.
 
Steve and Scott, the Vermentino Canayli and Oliena Riserva Cannonau both sound like winners...assuming our possible distinguished dinner guests approve.
