Famous empty bottles

They're liquidating the non-liquid assets of Premier Cru.
Looks like that includes some empty old bottles of very famous wine. Seems like an invitation to fraud. Maureen, what's your take?

They're claiming that wooden crates for high-end wines will sell for $50-$250 at auction. Premier Cru used to just pile them up in the parking lot, free for the taking. I think I've mentioned that some of my generic homemade Cali Rhone blends sit in my basement in Chavie crates.
