NYC December 26, 29 or 30. Let's eat and drink??

I know the holiday season is a crazy one, with all kinds of travel to and fro. Mine will bring me to Nyc and at the moment I have two evenings free - Thursday December 29 and Friday December 30 - if anyone will have spare eating and drinking capacity?

Hey, I was just about to post a thread like this. Because I'll be there too!

Except, I'm heading back to SF early on the 29th. Darn.

I don't suppose it's possible you could somehow become free on the 26th or 27th?

How funny! Two non-locals taking advantage of the internet and all that NY has to offer. I'm definitely booked on the 27th but might be able to switch things around to free up the 26th. Anyone else?

I'd love to see you guys—let me know what you get up to.

Sounds great. So I assume that means you are free on the 26th?

If so, that makes three, which is a fine start.

We can see who else responds in the next day or two, but certainly if you know of people who may be interested but are not diligently checking the board, then do feel free to reach out with your arms!

I'm good for the 26th.

Let's see how the mining pans out.

Union Square Cafe just reopened, if we're feeling nostalgic. But there are tons of places in this city, of course. Maybe if we went uptown we could draw in Cliff and Don.

I will, unfortunately, be in Wilmington :(

Not sure if this is Delaware or Carolina, but either way I suppose you are guaranteed more calm than the NY metro area.

I only ate there once (with a group that included you) so I don't necessarily have tons of nostalgia for USC. It would be great to see Cliff and Don, although all else equal I would prefer not to go too far uptown as I'll be based in Brooklyn.

Regardless, we have the beginnings of a plan.

As Joe used to say of himself, I'm widely portable.

I was thinking you might get a kick out of Maison Première, but that would be a non-BYO option. (Though the list is fantastic.)

Slaton, what do you think?

We could also have soup dumplings in my part of the world.

I'll be coming into Manhattan on the Metro North line (port of origin = Cold Spring) and can be fairly flexible. If we're going to a BYO place then I'll have a trip to Chambers or Crush in front of that.

Rahsaan and I are both pescetarian so I'm good with anything he signs off on. I'd suggest any place that would increase the likelihood of Coad joining us.

Jay, very sorry to miss you this time around!

Well, that certainly trumps any of my travel issues!

Maison Premiere is the definition of pescetarian friendly and looks great, but it is in Williamsburg and it might not be the most enjoyable ride back to Grand Central.

I'm sure something can be found in Manhattan!

I'm out of town Dec 26-29 Rahsaan but could find you on the 30th.

Sorry to hear that you're out of town, although presumably you will be having fun! Not sure about the 30th at this point. But I will be back to Nyc in the future.

Sharon and Slaton, I sent you an email.
