2014 Eminence Road Seneca Lake Pinot Noir

I don't often post on specific wines, but this bottle last night was noteworthy. Like many Disorderlies, I've followed Eminence Road for a while, generally with happy results. This bottle last night was my most enjoyable wine yet from them. Just deliciously drinkable -- my wife and I finished the bottle before dinner was over. CSW still has some and I recommend folks grab a bottle.

On consecutive nights, 2015 Tue-Boeuf Cheverny Gravotte 12.0% and 2014 Eminent Domaine Seneca Lake PN 12.4%. The first aromatically gangbusters, but way too tart for easy drinkability; the second somewhat shy, but deliciously balanced and weighted. Ways to go.

Last night we had Christmas dinner with my uncle, who is a lovely man but not someone you would usually want in charge of choosing wine. (He used to have the apartment full of Yellowtail and other Critter Wines)

Last night I walked past his selection and was amazed to find Baudry, Puzelat, and this 2014 Eminence Road Pinot Noir. Christmas really had come!

At first I thought maybe these were gifts I have given him several years ago which had never been opened. But no, in going to purchase my Christmas gift at CSW he made all these purchases.

A long way of saying that I was close to finally trying the Eminence Road wines, but we never got around to it.

After seeing your note I picked up a bottle at Chambers St. and enjoyed it with the family unit in Cold Spring over the holidays. Everyone enjoyed the wine.

Ha. "Eminent Domain:" When public officials seize ownership of your url for sites that serve the community good.

WD could be vulnerable, but HHS - the most likely culprit - is in the process of being taken down & we can all breathe easily.
