Rumor - Clos Rougeard sold to Montrose

I am now hearing that there have been discussions, but that the sale has not yet been agreed. Apparently LVMH is also involved in discussions as a competing potential buyer.
 
It's not the peop!e. It's the laws that will get you. But, really, vineyards change hands all the time here. Maybe even enough to justify some humorous hyperbole. I don't know where it's like in other wine regions.

In most of coastal California, the vineyards change hands but not as often as you'd think. In the central valley and some outlying areas, the owners just change the crop.
 
Their German importer posted today that not only nothing has been signed, but that Nadi Foucault assured them there were no plans to do so...
 
Erwan Faiveley, who has made some purchasing deals of his own, pointed out to me that when 0% interest rates are available, there is more interest in winery and vineyards buys.
