Glasses at Costco

As I strolled by the Costco housewares department, I noticed a stack of boxes with 8 German/Riedel-made wine glasses. Like a multi-purpose Syrah glass, they're suitable for white or red wines. Advertised as break resistant, lead-free, and dishwasher friendly.

Oh yeah! The convincing part is that the box of 8 glasses is only $18.

Do I need glasses? No! Did I buy a box? Yes!

That is remarkably inexpensive. The glasses are huge though, 25 ounces. Is this some kind of plot to drive up wine US consumption? Cause it will probably work.

I have been using these from Ikea for a few years.

They are attractive enough, not too big and easily fit in the dishwasher. Most importantly is the price; I give a lot of dinner parties and break a lot of glasses....

I have wine glasses from Mikasa, Riedel, Spiegelau, and maybe some more. Even so, I find that almost every day I use these Costco glasses.

They work and there is no fear of breakage at their price point.
