How was the Latour, Pete? I'm rather fascinated by 03 white burgundies.
The Vogue 98 was profoundly charming in a way that one doesn't somehow expect from Vogue on my one encounter.

As I recall, the Latour Corton Charlemagne '03 was enjoyable but not what I would call a generously endowed wine, maybe even a bit austere. It drank well but without pizzazz. Some of the other producers had more success with this difficult vintage e.g. Coche-Dury, Boillot, Bouchard, etal.

Similarly, again per my recollection, the Comte Georges de Vogue Chambolle-Musigny '98, while not a stem-winder, showed well. Smooth and finesseful, medium bodied, maybe even delicate, still fresh with impressive fruit, no sign of fading.

While knowing you are partisan to Burgundies, I'll offer up that the Ch de Beaucastel CNdP '01 was remarkable...I don't have any trouble remembering how excellent it was.

Hard to know how misto bosco became mista bosca. Haven't heard "wordsmith" in ages. Sort of like Clark Smith is a winesmith.
