Pulled a Domaine du Pégaü Chateauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Réservée '98 and got our wine appreciation level nicely uplifted to even greater heights (to the extent this is possible). Dark red, lush and full bouquet, powerful yet satiny profile, classic Pegau totally in its zone but still youthful with great upside potential, what a wonderful wine!
Paired well with oxtails, corn souffle, and kale salad, then blackberry macarons.
