SWR: Artisanal nevermore?

Recently, my partner spotted a large assortment of flatware -- forks, knives, etc. -- on the ground near the never-opened site of Artisanal. Clearing out, perhaps?

A loss. They had really excellent cheese and a very good cafe and wine list.

I'm still getting emails from Artisinal at least once a week promoting cheese sales, and I haven't heard any hints they will stop selling cheese (at least) remotely. I had heard that the opening of the new locale was much delayed but it would be sad if it's officially dead. Max McCallum and crew did a lot to promote and develop the business of quality cheese over the past 20 years. The restaurant was always solid and lively.

This makes me wonder about other functions.....

Not only that, but whether Eggs Benedict was ever the plat du jour.
