About Texas...

No question, the 3-tier system in Texas has ruled. There is a bill before the Texas Congress to change this at least to some degree; however, getting it past the 3-tier system control is a daunting task.

Comments about New Jersey...

NJ laws on alcohol operate in a parallel universe. Costco has tangled with them, as has Wegmans Market. Consolidation has created a situation where 3 or 4 wholesalers run 80% or more of all booze.

For years, the president of the state Senate was also president of Fedway wholesalers. And a major political boss.
