Clos Rougeard blanc question

Way back when I bought a single bottle of 1998 Clos Rougeard Chace. Ever since the only white wine I've seen from them has been the Breze.

Does anyone know how they differ? Wine searcher doesn't show Chace for sale anywhere in the world and cellartracker only shows 2 vintages - 1996 and 1998. Interestingly CT doesn't show any Breze in 1996 or 1998 so maybe they declassified in those years? But why would anyone declassify in 1996?

I don't know, but maybe that is what they call it when it is bottled with RS because it wouldn't classify as Saumur Blanc?

The front just says Chace, the back says Saumur: example

"Those who have the patience to give the wines the time they deserve in the cellar will have a Musigny-like experience at 1/4 the price, especially in strong years like 2001 and outstanding vintages like 2002."

"...the apotheosis of Cabernet Franc..."

"An ultimate example of intense rich, deeply perfumed, clean and neat elegant Chenin high obesity. And always fresh."

"New Online Auction: Romanée-Conti, Yquem, Coche-Dury, Clos Rougeard, Petrus"

That was a Lyle-penned Crush offer when you could still buy Le Bourg for $50 a bottle. Pretty sure that was my introduction to the estate.

Just providing some lexical support for the high prices. I have 3 bottles of Clos Rougeard left, two bought at $55 and the third bought at $66. (I think that last one is from an auction lot I split with Jay, John G, and SFJoe.)

Except, of course, that this wine isn't cab franc.
