I assume the word "toast" in English here is to twit Parker for always talking about aromas of pain grillé. Toast is franglais, but for that thing where you clink your glasses and say santé.

Mark, yes, quite peculiar omission.

The producer was Geantet-Pansiot.

2009 Domaine Geantet-Pansiot Chambolle Musigny "Vieilles Vignes"

Allen Meadows - Burghound

***Outstanding - Top Value*** A highly seductive nose speaks of black cherry and liqueur of red raspberry that dissolves into vibrant, rich and impressively concentrated flavors that possess a tender mid-palate but firm up quickly on the focused, intense and palate staining finish. This is not as complex as the two old vine Gevrey cuvées but it's, not surprisingly, finer. (1/2011)

Jancis Robinson

Quite deep and purplish. Intense and almost - almost - tarty in its sweet appeal. A very distinct style that may not appeal to purists. Firm tannins. Rather jagged on the end. (1/2011)
