I’m not a huge G-C fan—at least not if I can have a Chambolle—but I do always brake for Fourrier. This bottle is beautiful. Tart & tight at first, but with great purity and no hostility. After 30 minutes, it is all elegance, and red fruit balanced with a very lithe mineral frame. After 45 minutes it’s even better.
My guess is that for well stored bottles this will be even better over then next 3-5 years, but it might lose some of the delicious crunchy, red fruit appeal that it has now.
Happy New Year indeed.
(Comma errors, if any, are not intentional. I tried to get it right. Really, I did.)
