I hav not been recently enough to give sound food advice. But avoid everything with too many German or British customers (which is a challenge). Overall that is easier in Palma than on the beach.
I always really enjoyed the covered markets and surrounding stores, Mercat de l'Olivar and Mercat Santa Catalina.
