Jim, interestingly (to me, at least) the wine of the evening in my view was probably the least expensive one -- Francois Gaunoux Les Grandes Epenots Pommard 1er Cru '05. I managed to get multiple pours as I gave the other wines a more cursory attentiveness. Probably second favorite was the Pierre-Ives Colin-Morey Meursault-Genevrieres '14.
The Claret and Barbaresco came across as very youthful to me.
I'm a big Gaunoux fan...and Pierre-Ives Colin-Morey is topnotch.
