I pulled the trigger on this at Winebid. Too curious to pass up a birth year wine like this at a good price.

good question. . . .there was a time when, during bottling, there would be tanker trucks with calabrian licsense plates seen at barolo producers. . . .

not sure if this still happened in the 70's. the account i heard was more of the 50's and 60's.

a while back i had a '59 fontanafredda that had way too much colour to be all nebbiolo.

I would trust GDP's answer in the other place (that it's 1970 Brunate Riserva with a variant label on it).
