The ‘14 Descombes Chiroubles VV is great and drinking beautifully now. I have not tried the Morgan VV yet. I am also a big fan of ‘14 Beaujolais vintage and also the ‘14 white wines in Chablis and Vouvray. Pinon Vouvray are fabulous, had the ‘14 Silex Noir recently and loved it.

Good to hear about the Pinon. I recently took receipt of some myself.

The 2014 Pinons are great. don’t miss the sparklers.

Yup, got some of that, too. Good to hear, Jay.

Can't remember exactly when, but I had the Descombes Morgon VV and the Foillard CdP 14s towards the end of last year (2017) and neither was really in stride and both were awkward for my tastes.

I have appreciated the material of 14, love the way everything is balanced. But the last thing I need given my small storage is more wine to age. So '14 Beaujolais is not making the cut.

My loss.

Such discipline! I snoozed 14 in both Chablis and Beaujolais, because of other preoccupations, and am trying to backfill modestly now, space constraints notwithstanding.
