NYC jeeb June 5?

BJ

BJ
Hey NYC,

I will be in town 6/4-6/7 to try to save the world from climate change. I will create a large carbon footprint just getting there and would at least like to drink some good wine to offer penance for my badness.

Any interest in a jeeb that Tuesday? I will bring a couple of non sediment concerned whites, maybe a 96 Huet something that I think is de rigueur in your parts.

OK Jeff and Jayson, should we start setting up? Where?

And where is everyone else? Is it me or the Tuesday night?

You need to give NYers at least 6 weeks notice. Life is busy around here, just the way we like it.

Restaurant is easier, though if someone can host at home we'll save on corkage.

Easiest is a Chinese resto because corkage is cheap. Maison Kayser is free but the menu is very limited (as is the atmosphere). On the other hand, if you envy Racines I completely understand.

The other thing is what part of town are you going to be in?

Are you saying life doesn't revolve around me?

Oh, we should definitely do a restaurant.

I will be in Brooklyn, close to the end of the Brooklyn Bridge.

I am flexible restaurant wise, Chinese sounds great, as long as it's good. But if someone doesn't like that, I'm fine.

That puts you not too far from me.

I only know 'cheap Chinese' around here. For Peking Duck we'd go to Manhatan.

But maybe we could go back to Good Fork. It's a bus ride into Red Hook but worth it.

Calling Robert Dentice!

I'm staying at the Even Hotel. Apparently, instead of a desk chair, I get one of those bouncy workout sit balls! Neat!

Ah, near BAM. About a 20-minute walk to me. Only 8 minutes to Mile End so be sure to get yourself some smoked meat while you're here.

I should be able to make it. Let me know if you'd like me to make a reservation for Chinatown. I've done Ping's twice in a row so maybe Bite of Hong Kong?

I'm afraid Good Fork is too much of a trip for me during the week. Brooklyn in general is fine but Red Hook is a trek.

Or Peking Duck House?
