My nephew is graduating from Trinity College in November and we are going to Dublin for the graduation. We will be staying near the center. I would love recommendations for restaurants and any must see places while there. It is our first time visiting there. Unfortunately the trip is very short so we likely will just concentrate on things to do around Dublin. Thanks in advance.

It's a natural wine phone app for iPhone or Android that contains restaurant, wine bar and wine shop listings for many cities around the world. It also has wine reviews posted by users, but those are mostly useless.
The criterion for appearing is having a minimum of 30% natural wines on the list or shelves. Raisin has local "experts" for some of the countries (the Portuguese listings are my doing, as I volunteered for about a year).

Ha! It was a brief nickname for me some years back, so I got immediate flashbacks. But then it didn't make sense so I moved on.
Have only been to Dublin once myself, 10 years ago, and we ate well but would be curious to hear about the more current reports!

Raisin is small,but looked nice. Small selection of wines with lots of the usual favorites. But did not see much you could not get here. And at that time of day I needed coffee. Which Dublin has plenty of rather good options for.
Wonderful lunch at Patrick Guibaud. Did not take the very reasonable lunch option as I was really keen on the wild Scottish salmon and especially the large turbot. That made it a lot more expensive, but that was slightly modernized classical food as its best. Wine list is not bad, but not exactly a bargain. Camille Giroud Bourgogne Blanc was reasonable and worked very well.
The Greenhouse lunch for 45 had grouse, so that was an easy choice. Not as stellar as Guibaud, but still very good. Especially the bird. Don’t remember much about list, but it is online.
Another must is Sheridan’s Cheesemonger. I did not expect Irish cheese to be that interesting.

You are obviously right, I got confused. I typed this quickly on the phone last night because Marc had said he was about to leave. I was actually talking about the one place of the 4 listed on Raisin in Dublin that I happened to walk by and check out. It is called Loose Canon. And definitely looked like a good place to have a snack and a glass or two.

Gotcha. For a moment there I thought there was a homonym. Raisin does not indeed attempt to parse the more thoughtful or original lists from the so-called cookie-cutters, it just lists places that have at least 30% of what they consider natural wines on their lists.
