While the Squires board is down. . .

They shut it down for Thanksgiving to index it for searches and that broke again in short order. Mark talked about the bulletin board software being obsolete. I wonder if they might be changing to new software.

I know he's busy archiving threads, moving things around. The volume there really is pretty huge.

Can you tell us more of what you know about this magical place, Brad? I never get tired of hearing all about it!

Because leaving all of them (especially the oh so useful pictures posted by the likes of Livingstone and Landreth) in the main database makes the board very slow to update. They get put in an archived forum for searchability but no longer show up in the main fora.

Ok. Makes sense.

This is great stuff! I'd ask for an URL for this cool new forum, but I think it's blocked here at my place, so I'll have to rely on secondary reports.

What kind of pictures are they, and who are these "Livingston" and "Landreth" characters? It sounds like these pictures aren't really all that useful after all?

Inquiring minds want to know!

The Politburo doesn't read medieval wine and jousting boards, and rarely even reads the gardening and wine boards. We suggest if you are fascinated with those boards to post THERE.

This is an example of a thread title that the Politburo doesn't enjoy reading on Wine Disorder.

The Politburo probably needs to get over itself.

Absolutely! We should TOTALLY have the absolute right to talk about this fascinating "Squires" place that everyone loves all we want!

What's their problem? It's like they think they OWN the place!

So I'm still not clear on the nature of these "not useful" pictures, or these "Livingston" and "Landreth" guys...

Please stop using the L-words. It's impossible to lurk in peace and enjoy truly having no idea what people are posting about...which is greatly preferable to any clarity on the subject.
