While the Squires board is down. . .

This is great stuff! I'd ask for an URL for this cool new forum, but I think it's blocked here at my place, so I'll have to rely on secondary reports.

What kind of pictures are they, and who are these "Livingston" and "Landreth" characters? It sounds like these pictures aren't really all that useful after all?

Inquiring minds want to know!

A taste of Livingston, Landreth, Lang, etc.

Oh. I thought we were talking about Livingstone-Learmonth. I'd like to see pictures from him. The one above doesn't look like what I'd imagine they'd be though.

I do think the Politburo is doing a little to much polit-ing and not enough buro-ing.

One and the same, actually. The world-renowned wine expert/guitar slinger is just about to release the second part of his dissertation on French guitar styles...focussing on the southern part of the Rhne region, I've head that it's pretty much a tribute to the Stones.

The "picture-posts" may be a generational thing somehow derivative of texting. An attempt to increase information density with the least amount of work? I'm afraid that I didn't quite get it. I hope it doesn't spread.

Sonny and Roy Rogers really burn up the slide.

If it involves Sonny Landreth, count me in.

While we're on the topic of music, let me note the passing of Freddie Hubbard this week. Sad news. Oliver Nelson's solo on "Stolen Moments" was mentioned in a thread here a while back; check out Hubbard's on the same track. Or his solo on Herbie Hancock's "Maiden Voayge". Come to think of it, there are a couple more good ones on that album.

Is that as in Dr., I presume? I didn't know he had a camera with him - those would be quite fascinating pictures actually.

Some people like the photos. Other people just don't have a sense of humor.

Humorlessness is rampant on teh interwebz. Who can hate on teh funneh in these troubled times?

Exactly. If you can't laugh, you might as well just sit in the corner and rock and cry.

Personally, I like to sit in my corner and alternate between laughter and tears, rocking all the while. I find the transitions the most exhilarating part, brief though they may be. And the rocking makes whatever I'm feeling more intense, which is way awesome.

Just don't rock as hard as, say, the guitarist with AC/DC. That verges into the realm of drain bamage.
