Some asshole was bound to start this thread, so why not me!

Happy New Year to everyone out there!

Next year is bound to be even greater than 2008 and we all have a lot to look forward to in the coming year!

By the way, what are you drinking tonight to bring in the new year. I'm drinking seltzer because I have to take my chemeotherapy in a few yours.

Best to you all and all your loved ones!

Double Jack with a beer chaser.
'Not sure how to write out a belch but, you get the drift.
Fuck everybody.
Best, Jim

Oh, so everyone's a monkey in 2009. It's the year the VLM-TR takes over the internet.

HAHAHAHA!!!!

So far, ~350mL of Johnnie Black, but I'm pacing myself.

Go fuck yourselves and your families.

Note: The preview function was used so that Chris would know for certain that I meant for him to fuck himself.

There were some good things in 2008 for all of us, right? And it could be worse. We are alive and even online and free to complain about wine. Joe is looking ahead--even if only a few hours, and Jim is getting bombed, but the good way not the other way. It's 9 degrees out and the fire is struggling but there's a game on in a few minutes.

Happy New Year!

Best,
Kay

Diet coke for me - I have to work tonight.

Out with the old, in with the new!

Wait, there's a preview function?

Why am I watching this crap from New York?

Carson is such a complete tool.

I think I am switching back to Clint Eastwood.

Hang 'em high, Clint

Generally a good call, particularly when Sergio Leone is at the helm.

Some nv Diebolt-Vallois Blanc de Blancs here, to be followed by some Lustau Amontillado 'Bodega Viejo Seleccion del Cenetario'.

I drank lots of Ppire Muscadet and Thomas-Labaille Sancerre tonight with a lot of good friends. Thank you Joe!

1998 Rene Engel Vosne-Romanee

1997 Brane-Cantenac

A list that is quite a bit shorter than New Year's past. Probably that is a good thing.

Ah Kay, so often the voice of balance and reason amid the throes of chaos.
I do hereby resolve to eat more bleberries.
Best, Jim

'99 Nigl riesling privat from magnum will make you the toast of any dinner you bring it to, it turns out.

Happy New Year all

I hear that Monkeys are banned in Michigan in 2009

We had a bottle of Gatinois Brut Reserve (Ay) for New Years Eve. A step up in honeyed toast aroma over the regular brut, a bit more heft, with lots of bright lemon acidity.

Breton Nuits d'Ivresse, what else?
Oh and some of that Huet sparkling stuff.

I've got to get back to watching hockey at Wrigley field, see you later.
