Funny you say that. Just yesterday I told someone to name a script variable throat-warbler-mangrove.

one of my many many favourite skits. yes, i have the entire flying circus collection on dvd and yes, i still watch them.

As do many of us, I am sure. I am remiss, however, in updating my vinyl collection of Firesign Theatre albums to CD. In fact, I have been working through our DVD collection of the Pythons with my now-14-year-old son as a way of showing him what good absurdist humor is in this benighted age.

I think I may still have some of the vinyl in storage somewhere. There were endless great lines . . .

CATHERWOOD: Yes, and at the last possible moment, he stopped on a dime!
LT BRADSHAW: I see
CATHERWOOD: Unfortunately, the dime was in Mr. Rococo’s pocket.

I was fortunate to have had the privilege of recording an episode of their radio show when I was working (a volunteer, 'natch, as almost everyone was at the time) as a weekend board op/recording engineer at KPFK between '70 and '72.

and then there's sanitary napkin rings in three sizes: junior, moonmaid, and stuck pig. and the lady o' spain eye-shadow with self-blinding puncture pencil.

i've got 13 vinyl albums of firesign theatre and spin-offs, and my car has 'ralph spoilsport motors' license plate frames.

the oldest vinyl is going on 50 years old, but has never been abused and still sounds pristine.

(Raises hand.) I think my favorite is Woody and Tinny Words.
