One wonders how many one can turn - there seem to be so many!
This time it's an Ittok Mk III arm - replacing an venerable Grace 707 from 1979.
Totally different system - top and bottom end, detail, soundstage (flat earthers are not supposed to care, but it really organized it), dynamics, etc. Still, there was a certain musicality to the Grace that I miss, but honestly I think that just had to do with the fact it sort of blended everything together more. I find the music holds my attention much more. Last night it was Davis' Big Fun, one of the more underestimated and appreciated albums out there.
