I have mixed feelings. As a rule, I boycott factory farmed chicken, pork and veal because I don't think that just because it's morally allowable to eat animals, it's also allowable to torture them. Foie gras pretty clearly entails torture (I do not find the arguments that it does not, alas, remotely persuasive, much as I would love to). On the other hand, I really love foie gras, and what's life without a little contradiction. So I guess I'm happy not to live in NY, so I can ignore the whole thing.

Jay, I thought from your description that someone outside of NYC could submit support of your position; however, the site didn't allow same.
