For drinking and small plates, you'll do very well at Midfield, Paris Paris, and Archive 909. Those are all on Dundas West. Bar Isabel on College has a great list and excellent food. All of these are open until 2am on weekends. If you're on the east side, I've heard good things about Lake Inez but have not yet visited.
For dining, I never miss a chance to eat at Actinolite or Canis when I'm in town. Dandylion would be on that list too. All have well-curated lists that speak our language.

I wholeheartedly second the recommendations for Edulis, Dandylion, and Chantecler (the latter is a former employer of mine), and all of the wine bars mentioned above.
I buy wine for Bar Isabel, mentioned above, and we'd be very happy have you in - I've never posted, but I've gathered lots of interesting info from your posts here over the years, so I feel like I owe you one!
You already have more than enough recommendations for your brief stay in our fair frosty city, but I would also strongly recommend both Brothers and Grey Gardens, for disorderly wine and food. There are also some really top-notch Chinese regional restaurants in the 'burbs north of the city if you'll be driving.
Note that wine prices here may seem a little shocking to Americans, as wholesale pricing isn't available to restaurants as it is in most of the U S of A, but you can take solace in the favourable exchange rate for now.

Just returned from a few days in Toronto on a trip with the extended family. There was little time for Disorderly pursuits, but Chelsea and I did make time for a date night at Dandylion. Incredible. All of the praise is warranted. There were no flavors (or textures) that were out of place. Service was attentive, but casual and not intrusive, which is exactly how I prefer it. Based on this one experience, I can't recommend it highly enough.
