Jim, fortunately we didn't have to pay the typical purveyor tariff as ours is a smallish private club privileged to dine on this occasion at Tony's Restaurant.
Somewhere it should have been indicated that the Gaja Barbaresco '71 was out of a 4.88 liter bottle (and I have no idea what this size bottle might be called for an Italian wine)...
On my card, though, the wine of the evening was the Domaine Meo-Camuzet Clos de Vougeot '03...another example of how the 2003s have far surpassed their reputation with pundits.
