Jayson: First, there was a shot BC Blanc, then Strohmeier 2017 "Karmin No.8 aus Trauben, Liebe, und Zeit"
Jeff: Fourrier 2005 Gevrey-Chambertin - earthy and suave, a tad Californiated (meaning, somewhat full-fruit for Burgundy), but this is open for business
Ira: Demoor 2011 Aligote
Don: Eminence Road 2012 Seneca Lake Pinot Noir - from a recent re-release
M'k: Vincent 2018 Pinot Blanc "Tardive"
Sasha: Corbon Champagne Brut "Blanc de Blancs" - all 2011 fruit (currently using 1997 Kistler as cooking wine)

There's a group that's too orderly to be disorderly. Our weekly Zoom wine group (tonight is week 10) has 2-3 women, one of whom is Blasian (a term I hadn't heard until she mentioned it last week). She's also Canadian, but we don't hold that against her.

Virtue signaling is old news. It is a useful term. Given that blackface takes a considerable part of its disgustingness from its origin in minstrel shows, we probably need a blanket term for masquerading as a member of another ethnic group.

I would hazard that’s it’s a subset of cultural appropriation, but I’m no expert on these distinctions.
