Ridge Lytton Springs Zin '12 -- Nicely evolved, very smooth, no edges, solid core of fruit, alcohol totally buffered (or gone), good roundness and fullness in a soft style. Really a delicious quasi-elderly Zin. [E]
Served with brown butter treatment golden tile fish (with skin that crisped up for nice flavor and crunch, capers, chives, and parsley), bacon Brussels sprouts, and cheese grits...then Provence cheese, apple, and a chocolate cookie.
Everything worked together nicely.
