Drinking a 2002 P&C Breton, Bourgueil, "Les Perriéres"

....today, after removal from my cellar; original vintage purchase, K. Lynch, importer. I'm musing about the 11.5% alcohol while appreciating the purpleness of this wine. The stones, the bark, the floral qualities. All purple. The gentleness of stony, cold fruits on my mouth combined with the grainy attack of saline fine tannins and saline minerality.
A clension, or a declension!
Superb.
Perfect with roast chicken covered in ground spicy sumac and Za'Atar.

You go, girl.

I've just slurped down a bottle of Eminence Road 2018 Cabernet Franc "Elizabeth's Vineyard" at 10.7%. Cool blue fruit with a hint of electric shoe-polish. (My electric shoes are gleaming!)
